總部設在波士頓，但在北京營運規模更大的醫療器材公司惠爾圖像（Whale
Imaging），昨（廿九）日為擴大營運，喬遷華森市新址，舉行剪綵儀式。
麻州參議員巴瑞特（Michael Barrett），中國駐紐約總領事館科技參贊葉冬柏與惠爾圖像總裁朱洵（Sean Zhu），資深副總裁Laurence
Heron，麻州生命科學中心資深市場行銷副總裁麥奎肯（Angus
McQuilken）等人，一起為佔地九千餘平方公呎的新址，剪綵誌慶。
惠爾圖像設在麻州的公司總部新址，佔地約九千平方呎，位於華森市第二道（2nd Ave.)三百號，包括辦公室，X光測試室，研發設備及倉庫，以及供將來擴展的空間。
惠爾圖像是由朱洵和賀興柏共同創立的一家醫療影像設備生產商，研發及市場行銷總部設在麻州華森市（Waltham），生產製造設在北京高科技園區。目前主要的產品為數字化實時正側位G型臂X射線成像系統，預定一年後產銷移動型超音波影像儀。
惠爾圖像資深副總裁Laurence Heron表示，該公司在北京約有一百五十名員工，在波士頓的總部，最開始有五人，如今有十人，並正刊登廣告增聘行銷專員，工程師及會計師，預計年底把本地的人手增加至廿人。一旦生產，銷售移動型超音波儀器的業務定案，將在擴增人手。
麻州生命科學中心及麻州生物科技協會昨日回覆本報查詢時指出，在麻州開設的生物醫藥領域中國公司，目前還只有華大基因（BGI），藥明康德（Wuxi Tech），以及從Needham搬到華森市的惠爾圖像。

Whale Imaging expands U.S. headquarters in Waltham
Waltham, MA – WHALE IMAGING Inc., a leading manufacturer of surgical imaging systems, today announced the official opening of its new 9,000 square foot facility in Waltham, Massachusetts. The ceremony was held in collaboration with the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC).
“Massachusetts’ thriving life sciences community has become a magnet for investment by international companies that want to be where the action is,” said Governor Charlie Baker. “We welcome Whale Imaging’s expansion in Massachusetts, and look forward to partnering with them to create jobs, and further economic growth and development.”
A number of industry and government representatives were in attendance, including State Senator Michael Barrett (D-Lexington) and Mr. Dongbai Ye, Counselor for Science & Technology, Consulate General of P R China in New York.
