慶祝愛國者隊贏冠軍遊行改到二月四日早上十一點

新英格蘭愛國者隊(New England Patriot)贏了超級盃冠軍,波士頓市長馬丁華殊(Martin Walsh)原本迫不急待要慶祝,哪知道天公不作美,昨天(二日)的大雪一下十幾吋,下午五點多,他才很不情願地宣佈,改在二月四日早上十一點才遊行。
馬丁華殊是在二月一日晚上十點多,愛國者隊剛贏球,就馬上發通告恭賀,並表示次日一早會決定如何慶祝。二月二日早上十點,市長辦公室發出通知,決定二月三日早上十一點遊行慶祝。儘管有人擔心,這雪下得讓路況很糟,但市長和球迷們都期望著天氣能好到讓他們慶祝。
但接著的天氣預報指晚上天氣更糟,市長辦公室一直等到下午五點,才終於宣佈,因為天氣,遊行慶祝不得不押後舉行。
目前的天氣預測是二月四日(週三)時,多元,氣溫將近華氏三十三度,可能會飄雪,但頂多半吋。
慶祝遊行路線,將如原定的從普天壽中心出發,繞經波約斯頓街( Boylston),天滿街(Tremont),一路到市政府大樓。
為留出道路給慶祝的球迷遊行,二月四日當天將有許多街道禁止停車。民眾宜注意查看告示。
        
MAYOR WALSH AND PATRIOTS POSTPONE VICTORY PARADE

"Due to today's bad weather and the worsening forecast for tonight, the New England Patriots and the City of Boston have made the mutual decision to postpone the victory parade until Wednesday, February 4 at 11 a.m. We thank everyone for their flexibility and patience during the planning of this parade and we look forward to celebrating with Patriots fans during better weather on Wednesday."

LOGISTICAL DETAILS FOR THE PATRIOTS VICTORY PARADE

BOSTON - Monday, February 2, 2015 - The following are the logistical details for the City of Boston's New England Patriots Super Bowl Victory Parade on Wednesday, February 4, 2015:

The route of the parade is attached. 

The parade will kick-off at 11 a.m. from the Hynes Convention Center. There will be no media access inside the Hynes Convention Center. The parade will feature 25 duck boats, five flatbed trucks, 2 photo trucks (one with a pool video camera (Comcast Sports Net/NECN)) and 4 confetti trucks. 

There will be five platforms for media throughout the parade.  Two platforms will be pooled.  

Media Platform Locations: 

Position 0 - Dalton Street and Boylston Street POOL ONLY - WBZ 
Position 1 - Dartmouth Street and Boylston Street
Position 2 - Charles Street and Boylston Street
Position 3 - Tremont Street and West Street (across from the Boston Common) Pool - WMUR
Position 4 - City Hall Plaza on Cambridge Street side 

Media trucks are asked to be in place by 4am.

Reminders for the Public:

Mayor Walsh is reminding everyone attending Wednesday’s parade to dress warmly for the winter weather.

In addition, the Mayor is encouraging the use of public transportation and asking everyone in Boston to celebrate responsibly.

In addition, the following temporary parking restrictions will be implemented in the City of Boston to accommodate the parade with the instructions:  “No Stopping Boston Police Special Event Wednesday”
