BOSTON - Thursday, May 5, 2016 - Below is a joint statement from Mayor Martin J. Walsh and Mark Miles, CEO of IndyCar's parent company, Hulman & Company:

"Boston has an open door for new and innovative ideas that will benefit the city's future. While it is disappointing that IndyCar will not race in Boston this year, we look forward to continuing our work together to bring IndyCar to Boston in the future. Boston has always been a great partner for IndyCar and we are confident that with a strong local promoter the race can be a great success."

4/13 廖國偉鋼琴獨奏會

中華表演藝術基金會訂4月13日舉辦廖國偉鋼琴獨奏會。Greetings! Renowned pianist and 2013 Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient, Mr. Kuok-Wai Lio 廖國瑋 will perform an all-Robert Schumann program including Kinderszenen Op.15, Kreisleriana Op.16, and Fantasie in C Major, Op. 17 on Saturday, April 13, 8 pm at NEC's Jordan Hall. Pianist Kuok-Wai Lio, www.liokuokwai.com, was a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music. He received the 2013 Avery Fisher Career Grant, the Career Advancement Award of the Musical Fund Society of Philadelphia, Scholarship Awards by the Macau Cultural Affairs Bureau, and the Feltsman Piano Foundation. The Vancouver Sun described him as "A musician's musician”. The New York Times called his performance "Sensitive playing". The Boston Musical Intelligencer said: “It was one of those rare transcendent moments that moves the audience to a different reality. Kuok-Wai Lio held us spell-bound with the overwhelming beauty of his performance. “ We hope you would come and enjoy it. Your support is deeply appreciated. 中華表演藝術基金會第33屆國畫書法比賽。The Annual (33rd ) All-American and Canada Chinese Brush Painting and Calligraphy Competition 2024 welcomes all students in US and Canada, age up to 22 as of May 31, 2024 to participate. Four age groups: 9 and under, 10 to 13, 14 to 17, 18 to 22. Age refers to the Application Deadline May 31, 2024. Each student could submit 2 pieces of either brush painting or calligraphy, or both, up to 4 pieces total.
