Statement from Cambridge City Councilor Leland Cheung on MBTA Fiscal Control Board Vote on Green Line Extension

CAMBRIDGE, MA – “This has been a train wreck of mismanagement. There has been no call for legislative oversight of these projects and no discussion of going after contractors who exceed costs” said Cheung.

“Instead of asking neighbors to accept a scaled back project, we should ask contractors to accept scaled back profit.” Leland Cheung is a member of the Cambridge City Council and serves on the Transportation Committee which could vote whether to approve Cambridge’s $25 million commitment to the project later this week.
