昆士市宣佈進入風雪緊急狀態

State Of Emergency Declared

Monday, February 09, 2015

Effectively immediately, Governor Baker has declared a state of emergency due to the record snowfall in Quincy and other areas of the Commonwealth.
Mayor Koch will close Quincy City Hall and all City offices on Tuesday, February, 10; the MBTA has suspended all rail service for Tuesday, and buses will operate on a limited schedule; all non-essential state employees in Norfolk County, including Quincy, should not report to work.
All residents are encouraged if at all possible to stay off roads to allow crews to continue the clean-up overnight and tomorrow.
Trash collection is suspended for Tuesday, February 10. The schedule for the remainder of the week will be as follows: Monday’s collection schedule will be on Wednesday; Tuesday on Wednesday; Thursday on Friday; and Thursday and Friday on Saturday.
Snow emergency parking rules are in place and will remain so for the near future. Parking is prohibited on designated emergency arteries throughout the duration of the snow emergency.
Residents may park on the EVEN numbered side of non-emergency neighborhood streets, but should always park in available driveways if available. If parked cars obstruct snow removal, they may be removed regardless of what side of the street they are on.  Residents on side-streets posted permanently as one-side parking should park on the side always allowed.
Cars parked in violation of emergency rules WILL BE TOWED.
Further parking restrictions are possible as the City continues a snow hauling operation following the current storm.
