2014 Food Truck Vending Year Kicks Off Tuesday, April 1

BOSTON – On Tuesday, April 1, Boston's food trucks will officially be back on the streets of Boston. This will also mark the start of late-night food truck hours.

A small portion of Boston's food trucks remain open year-round, but Tuesday marks the first day of food trucks appearing en masse at sites across the entire city. In mid-March, Mayor Martin J. Walsh announced that food trucks in three locations – Copley Square, Boston University, and Northeastern University – will stay open an extra hour until midnight, on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The locations were selected based on area foot traffic and public safety.

"This is our fourth food truck vending year in Boston, and the program has been incredibly successful," said Mayor Walsh. "Food trucks are an innovative small business model for many in Boston, and we will continue to engage the public and expand the program to other locations around the City."

This year, the City’s Mobile Food Truck Program will feature ten new vendors:
Chicken and Rice Guys #3
Evan’s NY-Style Deli
Lilian’s Smokin’ Rack BBQ
Mediterranean Home Cooking
Moyzilla
Stoked Pizza Company
Tea Station
Tenoch Mexican
The Bacon Truck
Zo on the Go
